Forty years ago, Small Smiles was founded on the principle that all children should have access to high-quality dental care. We remain committed to that principle today. This year Small Smiles Dental Centers will provide dental care to more than 500,000 children in underserved and lower-income communities nationwide. We work tirelessly to provide high-quality care for children and are proud of our record of service and the care experience we provide.
Today, from Boise to Myrtle Beach, parents continue to count on our network of associated dental centers for safeguarding their children’s dental health. From first tooth to age 20, the children who visit these dental centers receive vital care and a positive experience that can lead to life-long dental health.
Our mission, however, transcends the care provided at the dentist’s office. Parents and communities are vital to the dental health of children from low-income families. That’s why education and outreach continue to be a major part of our role. From free dental screenings to nutrition education, we are committed to fighting the “silent epidemic” of poor dental health among underserved communities.
It’s a fight we can win. With an ongoing commitment of public resources and the compassionate work of our associated caregivers, we can envision a country in which every child has the healthy smile they deserve.
